Our Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center (PSC) is a joint effort of Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Established in 1986, PSC is supported by several federal agencies, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and private industry and is a leading partner in XSEDE (Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment), the National Science Foundation cyberinfrastructure program.

PSC provides university, government and industrial researchers with access to several of the most powerful systems for high-performance computing, communications and data storage available to scientists, engineers and scholars nationwide for unclassified research. We advance the state of the art in high-performance computing, communications and data analytics and offer a flexible environment for solving the largest and most challenging problems in computational science.

Tiki Bar Manager

This position is responsible for all aspects of running the rooftop tiki bar at 300 SC for PSC employees, including menu development, purchasing, inventory control, hiring and managing cooks, bartenders and waitstaff, and planning seasonal parties for the PSC staff....

Internships

Joke purveyor and faxxer

In this exciting internship opportunity, you will keep the PSC staff amused with new jokes every day. Additional duties include handling all fax communications for PSC.

Donut supplier

In this position, you will be responsible for ordering, picking up and delivering donuts to PSC staff every Friday. You will handle every aspect of this job, including determining the types and numbers of donuts and whether to branch out to crullers and cheese danish...
